Behavioral Modification Programs

Cadmus understands the challenges associated with energy use reduction. From operating the equipment, to meeting occupant comfort, improving energy efficiency involves more than making the physical upgrades. It also involves educating building occupants and users about energy-saving habits, improving the operations and maintenance of the building’s energy systems, and recognizing outstanding achievement. To help your organization maximize the human contribution to energy efficiency, we offer programs designed to encourage building tenants to make more energy-efficient choices.

Incentive Programs

The endeavor to improve the energy efficiency of a portfolio is a transformative process that requires a long-term commitment. Cadmus can help with the use of an incentive program to encourage and motivate employees and other building occupants. Cadmus has experience in crafting and implementing programs which motivate building occupants through the use of cash bonuses, social events, or other incentives. Starting this initiative early in a broader program helps to focus attention on the overall effort and demonstrate the benefits of meeting and exceeding goals.

Recognition Programs

Recognition even without additional incentives can be a powerful tool for changing behavior.  Cadmus can help with the implementation of staff recognition program. Individuals or organizations may also be eligible to apply for federal, state, or professional association awards that honor outstanding energy efficiency achievements. We can facilitate that process, as well as prepare news releases and other communications for the community and peers.

Campaigns

The use of information and awareness is also a vital component of any behavior change program.  Cadmus suggests the use of a broad range of communications media to improve awareness and education on the various topics related to energy efficiency, such as web pages, newsletters, posters, emailing, and webcasts.
