Cadmus proudly provided our expertise to FEMA in preparing the 2022 National Preparedness Report (NPR). The 2022 NPR takes a risk and capabilities-focused approach to summarize progress towards becoming a more secure and resilient nation and examines how equity and climate change impact resilience. This year’s report also underscores the challenges that emergency managers face in addressing a continuously expanding risk environment, the ingenuity they have shown to rise to those challenges, and opportunities that remain to better prepare the nation.
The report offers practical insights into preparedness to support decisions about program priorities, resource allocations, and actions for increasing whole community resilience. The NPR pulls from open-source data, community Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR) data, and a federal interagency data call with submissions from 53 agencies, divisions, and sub-components throughout the federal government.
Cadmus has supported every NPR since first published in 2012.
