Cadmus Acquires Two Leading International Management Consulting Firms

The Cadmus Group LLC (Cadmus), a leading consultancy in energy, homeland security and all-hazard preparedness, climate, the natural and built environments, sustainable transportation, public health, and international development, announced today that it has completed transactions to acquire international consulting firms ifok and Meister Consultants Group (MCG). These acquisitions unite the three firms’ complementary areas of technical and strategic expertise to deliver the full spectrum of capabilities Cadmus clients require on critically important projects.

“Bringing together Cadmus, ifok, and MCG creates exciting opportunities to enhance the services we provide in support of our clients’ missions,” said Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline. “Just as important, our new colleagues share Cadmus’ guiding belief in the power of collaboration between leading experts to achieve extraordinary results.”

ifok has developed a unique approach to change management that allows its clients in the public and private sectors to develop, communicate, and implement transformative processes that address society’s most pressing issues.

MCG is a leader in sustainability policy, strategy, and stakeholder engagement consulting with deep expertise in clean energy, transportation, corporate sustainability, climate resilience, sustainable finance, infrastructure, and distributed energy resources for U.S. and international clients.

Hans-Peter Meister, previously CEO of both ifok and MCG, will continue on as Senior Vice President for European Strategy for the global firm. Henning Banthien will lead ifok operations as a Managing Director. Christina Becker-Birck will lead MCG operations as a Vice President.

The acquisition also establishes Cadmus’ first permanent offices outside of North America. ifok has locations in Bensheim, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Munich, and Brussels in addition to MCG’s office in Boston.

“In Cadmus, we have found a partner to leverage our international expertise and to create even more value for our clients with our unique integrated approach to innovation and change management,” said Meister. “Together, we expand our collective ability to help governments, companies, and civil society transform for a sustainable future.”
