Cadmus Appoints Two Executives to Principal Within its Safety, Security, and Resilience Service Area

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 22, 2018—The Cadmus Group LLC (Cadmus) announced today that it has promoted Alan Snyder and Sarah Scafidi to the position of principal within its safety, security, and resilience service area. The promotions come as Cadmus is enhancing its expert consulting services in the homeland security and preparedness market based on an increase in customer and market demands.

“Our clients are confronting and preparing for increasingly complex challenges—experts like Alan and Sarah are the reason Cadmus is able to ensure they are successful in that critical mission,” said Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline. “Alan and Sarah bring an exceptional depth of knowledge and breadth of skills that enhance both their support for our clients and the continued development of our team’s capabilities.”

Alan Snyder oversees Cadmus’ policy and program assessment business area for homeland security and emergency management clients. He specializes in security program and policy analysis and evaluation with a focus on assessing national preparedness. Among other projects, Alan led the research and writing teams for both the Hurricane Sandy Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) After-Action Report and the interagency Federal Response to Hurricane Sandy After-Action Report. Alan has also supported projects analyzing infrastructure security and resilience requirements in the federal government and the private sector, served as a Professional Staff Member on the House Committee on Homeland Security, and worked as a policy analyst for New York state’s homeland security office. Alan has been with Cadmus more than five years.

Alan earned his Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rochester, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is a certified Project Management Professional.

Sarah Scafidi manages corporate engagements that assess enterprise-wide preparedness and resilience of multi-billion-dollar investor-owned utilities against all-hazards threats and hazards with cascading business impacts. She oversees the design, development, and delivery of risk assessments and risk management strategies, business continuity planning, crisis response coordination efforts, and tailored crisis simulations across public and private sectors.
