WALTHAM, Mass., April 5, 2021—Cadmus has joined CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, a growing coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. On February 3, 2021, Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline became one of nearly 2,000 chief executives who have come together for the largest CEO-driven business commitment of its kind. By signing on to this commitment, Cadmus is pledging to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected.

“Cadmus is fully committed to supporting efforts aimed at eradicating injustice and bias in our society, and our employees’ perspectives are a crucial element in attaining that goal,” said Kline. “Through our organization’s actions in support of social equity—of which the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion Pledge is one important part—we have the potential to create a tremendously positive impact on the experiences of Cadmus employees, on the support we provide our clients, and on the communities where we live and work.”

The pledge entails four goals that have been established to catalyze further conversations and actions around diversity and inclusion within the workplace and to foster collaboration among member organizations:

  1. We will continue to make our workplaces trusting places to have complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity and inclusion.
  2. We will implement and expand unconscious bias education.
  3. We will share best—and unsuccessful—practices.
  4. We will create and share strategic inclusion and diversity plans with our board of directors.

As its first act affiliated with CEO Action, Cadmus will take part in the organization’s Day of Understanding in April 2021. All Cadmus employees are encouraged to attend a Day of Understanding listening session, co-facilitated by Kline and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Dawn-Marie Gray. Attendees will learn about issues related to bias in the workplace and have an opportunity to share their experiences and learn from one another. Lessons learned during the Days of Understanding will help inform Cadmus’ future DEI programs.

The CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ is led by a steering committee of CEOs and leaders from Accenture, BCG, Deloitte US, The Executive Leadership Council, EY, General Atlantic, KPMG, New York Life, Procter & Gamble, and PwC. The coalition represents 85 industries, all 50 U.S. States, and millions of employees globally. To learn more about the pledge, visit CEOAction.com.
