Cadmus Promotes Key Leaders to Executive Team

W. Sean McLaughlin, Jim Sprague, and Neil Veilleux Bring New Expertise to Firm’s Leadership

WALTHAM, Mass., November 16, 2021—Cadmus, a leading provider of technical and strategic expertise to governments, energy utilities, and private sector companies worldwide, has promoted several outstanding leaders from its service sectors to the firm’s executive team. W. Sean McLaughlin was promoted to vice president in the firm’s homeland security sector; Neil Veilleux was promoted to vice president in the firm’s energy sector, and Jim Sprague was promoted to vice president of analytics and data science.

“Sean, Jim, and Neil exemplify Cadmus’ commitment to continuous innovation and to delivering outstanding results for our clients,” said President and CEO Ian Kline. “Through years of experience across their respective industries, they have each cultivated deep knowledge of our markets and the challenges our clients face, as well as the creative problem-solving necessary to overcome those challenges. They consistently develop solutions that enable our clients to not only thrive today but also prepare for the obstacles they will face tomorrow. I’m delighted to have them on the Cadmus leadership team.”

McLaughlin is highly regarded by Cadmus clients and partners for his expertise in assessing and improving national, state, and local preparedness. He has supported and led some of the U.S. government’s highest-profile emergency and disaster preparedness evaluation efforts, including the annual National Preparedness Report, the Superstorm Sandy After-Action Report, evaluation of the National Health Security Strategy, and the 2017 Hurricane Season After-Action Report. In addition, he has been critical in building Cadmus’ capabilities focused on collecting, analyzing, and communicating data across the firm’s safety, security, and resilience solutions. As part of the senior leadership team of Obsidian Analysis, prior to that firm’s 2016 acquisition by Cadmus, he contributed to Obsidian’s growth from a staff of five to more than 75 in under five years.

Sprague works with Cadmus subject matter experts throughout the United States and Europe to help our clients achieve their optimal outcomes by joining best-in-class analytics with industry-leading expertise. With broad experience across several business functions and technology markets, including enterprise software and hardware, professional services, and engineering leadership, he has supported government agencies such as the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Courts, and USAID. Sprague currently leads the development of the Cadmus Analytics Platform, an enterprise-wide data management, modeling, and reporting platform, and has taken the lead role in building the firm’s analytics tools and applications.

Veilleux is a driving force behind the development of Cadmus’ proprietary clean energy tools and applications, which combine advanced data analytics with subject matter expertise to enable transformative outcomes for organizations in the public and private sectors. As the head of Cadmus’ distributed energy resources (DER) practice, he has cultivated powerful offerings in building and transportation electrification, DER integration, decarbonization, and other areas of critical importance to governments and utilities. In addition to his work at Cadmus, Veilleux currently applies his insights on energy policy and innovation for organizations like the Northeast Clean Energy Council and the Yale Center for Business and Environment.
