
As cities prepare for climate change and extreme weather events, they often overlook food systems. The City of Toronto is at the vanguard of global cities beginning to focus on the sustainability and resilience of this critical sector.
Cadmus and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City worked with the city to analyze the resilience of its food sector to climate change through seven food system sectors and five critical, supporting parts of the city's infrastructure as well as existing emergency response plans and the role of the private sector.
