
Dr. Tom Voege joined Cadmus´ European business and ifok as Director EU Relations and Projects in the middle of 2021, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in intergovernmental organizations, strategy consulting, and academia. He is currently managing the newly established Brussels office, with a specific business development focus on transport, mobility, and infrastructure. Previously, Tom held senior expert roles in the area of transport policy in the United Nations (UN DESA) and the International Transport Forum of the OECD; and was Head of EU Affairs for the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). In addition, he had independent expert assignments with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the European Commission (EC), the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the World Maritime University (WMU).
Tom´s academic background is in transportation planning and engineering from the University of Southampton, with additional certificates in international environmental policy. He is a member of several advisory boards and committees, including Springer Lecture Notes in Mobility, Intelligent Transport Magazine and Conference, World Economic Forum (WEF) Expert Network, SAE Shared and Digital Mobility Committee, and TRB Committees on Intelligent Transport Systems, and on Vehicle Highway Automation. He has also published widely and has been keynote speaker and panel member at a wide variety of international conferences.
