
A co-founder of Cadmus and current member of the Board, Gene served as Board Chair from 2000-2020. He managed the first of more than 100 projects for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1970 and has directed tasks for virtually every EPA program office. His wide-ranging project experience includes the development of drinking water and other EPA regulations, water pollution control, hazardous waste, training, risk evaluation, acid rain, and communication. Since 1975, he has managed more than ten major mission support contracts for federal regulatory agencies. He served for nine years as the company’s quality assurance officer, during which he designed and implemented QA training and established a biennial company-wide quality review.
Before co-founding Cadmus, Gene was the Deputy Manager of the Economics and Environment at Abt Associates, Inc., as well as a Senior Engineer at Bolt Beranek and Newman, Inc.
Gene is a member of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society, and Pi Tau Sigma, the International Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
