Geoff Morrison, Ph.D.

Principal

Geoff serves as the technical lead for Cadmus’ sustainable transportation practice, where he directs work on electric vehicles, biofuels, hydrogen, and other alternative fuels for both public and private sector clients. He also leads efforts to create new lines of business with emerging transportation technologies, such as ridesharing, connected vehicles, and autonomous vehicles.

As an academic-trained researcher, Geoff brings a rigorous, science-based approach to supporting client needs in the transportation sector. He regularly publishes in and serves as reviewer for scientific journals.

Previously, Geoff held research posts at the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C., and International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris. He holds a doctorate in transportation technology and policy from the Institute for Transportation Studies, University of California, Davis and a bachelor’s degree from Duke University. Geoff also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for five years, supervising a group of technicians in the operation of a 550-megawatt nuclear power plant aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt.
