As a member of Cadmus’ high performance buildings team, Randy helps clients optimize facility operations to improve energy and building performance in commercial and industrial facilities. He performs commissioning, energy audits, and energy efficiency project evaluations. He maintains a strong focus on measurement and verification of energy efficiency projects, designing and installing metering and data acquisition solutions. Having completed thousands of metering and data logging applications, he is expert in acquiring accurate, high quality data directly from building automation, lighting control, and metering systems using industry standard communication protocols or stand-alone metering and logging equipment. Randy also oversees Cadmus’ metering department which maintains an inventory of over 10,000 meters and loggers.
Prior to joining Cadmus, Randy enjoyed a 28-year career with a major systems integrator and building automation contractor. He designed and implemented over 500 building automation, process control, and metering & data acquisition projects in the healthcare, K-12, college & university, government, and private commercial building sectors.
Randy is certified by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manger (CEM®) and a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CVMP®). He is a licensed Master Electrician and has completed the 10-hour General Industry Training with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. He is a lifetime member of the Association of Energy Engineers.
