
Mr. Ütebay has over 25 years of experience in the education, research, energy, and science and technology fields in Turkey and the United States. He is the Deputy Program Manager for Environmental Protection Agency’s “Analytical, Technical & Outreach Support for ENERGY STAR Commercial, Institutional and Industrial Sectors” contract. He currently serves as the Project Manager for Strategic Market Transformation: Integrating Public Sector Engagement with ENERGY STAR Partnership Activity in Regional, State, Local, and Utility Areas, which includes direct support to local, state, federal government agencies, K12 schools and water and wastewater treatment plants.
For the past 20 years at Cadmus, Mr. Ütebay has worked closely with hundreds of organizations to promote energy efficiency and a holistic approach to indoor air quality and energy efficiency. He leads efforts to develop relationships with organizations and pertinent association partners to cost-effectively increase energy efficiency and improve indoor air quality. He plays a key role in marketing and implementing ENERGY STAR to all public and private sectors by developing messaging, tools and resources for a wide variety of audiences at every level of an organization to help them overcome issues before them.
Mr. Ütebay holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Anadolu University, Eskisehir, Turkey and is an LEED Accredited Professional. He is a member of the National Advisory Board of Green Schools Alliance; board member of Clean Air Partners, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; and an industry advisor to AQUEES on integrating energy and water efficiency.
