Association of Energy Services Professionals Reelects Cadmus Principal to its Board of Directors and Honors Client at National Conference

Waltham, Mass. February 20, 2013— The Cadmus Group, Inc. was honored to celebrate two major achievements at the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP)’s 23rd National Conference in Orlando, Florida last month. At the opening plenary session, with 750 industry experts, AESP announced that Laura Orfanedes, a Principal in the Energy Services Division, was reelected to the Association’s board of directors and Cadmus client, National Grid, received the 2012 Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communications Award.

Laura Orfanedes is beginning her second, three-year term on AESP’s Board of Directors.  As a Board member, and also as Vice-Chair of Publications, Ms. Orfanedes has spearheaded a number of initiatives for the Association, including launching brand guidelines for AESP, its chapters, and members, enhancing the Association’s monthly Strategies publication, and leading development of the 2012 State of the Industry Report, early findings of which Ms. Orfanedes presented at the recent conference’s closing plenary session. Ms. Orfanedes leads Cadmus’ Marketing and Communications Practice within the company’s Energy Services Division.

National Grid’s innovative approach of calling on youth organizations and summer camp programs throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island to help celebrate ENERGY STAR®’s anniversary for the “ENERGY STAR® 20th Anniversary Celebration” campaign took home top honors at AESP in the marketing and communications award category.  Cadmus supported National Grid in this award winning campaign, providing marketing management and strategic energy-efficiency expertise. “As a company that has helped the U.S. EPA grow its national ENERGY STAR® brand over the past decade and, likewise, assisted National Grid in promoting energy efficiency to its residential customers,” said Ms. Orfanedes, “we were thrilled to bring these two complementary efforts together to help National Grid celebrate this important milestone.”

“National Grid is honored to have received this recognition,” states Katherine Ringe Welch, Manager, Strategic Marketing for Residential Energy Efficiency Programs at National Grid. “We knew we wanted to mark this important milestone in a positive and significant way, and use it as an opportunity to educate future generations on the importance of reducing energy use for the betterment of the environment. The marketing and communications campaign that Cadmus developed for National Grid exceeded our expectations, which is why we value our partnership with Cadmus in helping our customers reduce their energy costs while promoting sustainability. ”
