Cadmus Expands Leadership Team in Energy Services Division

Waltham, Mass., November 7, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has created a new executive-level position and promoted key staff as part of a leadership reorganization that will give clients a greater level of access to the social good consultancy’s experts. M. Sami Khawaja, Ph.D., will occupy the new role of executive consultant, while Hossein Haeri, Ph.D., has been appointed senior vice president in charge of energy services.

Dr. Khawaja’s new role with Cadmus will focus on providing project-based technical leadership in support of clients; building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients; mentoring staff; and advancing Cadmus’ industry thought leadership through publication, conference presentations, and development of white papers.

Dr. Haeri has taken over the day-to-day leadership of Cadmus’ energy services division, which provides the full spectrum of energy-efficiency planning, design, evaluation, and market transformation services. He will receive significant assistance from Charles Bicknell, principal, who will play an expanded role in managing the operations of the division.

“We’re incredibly excited that this transition will allow Sami to have even greater availability to our clients, and to continue advancing the cutting-edge industry expertise and thought leadership Cadmus is known for,” said Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline. “We’re also delighted that Hossein and Charlie will be filling roles that take full advantage of their experience and expertise. Hossein is an extremely well-regarded figure in the energy industry and an excellent leader. He and Charlie are a tremendous asset to Cadmus and to our clients as we work together to promote energy efficiency and create social value.”

Dr. Khawaja has served as Cadmus’ senior vice president of energy services since 2008, when the energy consulting firm he founded, Quantec LLC, merged with Cadmus. He has been an integral element in Cadmus’ growth as one of the premier leaders and innovators in energy-efficiency consulting to the energy utilities industry in North America.

Dr. Haeri has long been an essential component of the Cadmus leadership team within the company’s energy services division, serving as executive director in charge of energy planning and assessment. He is a recognized authority in demand-side management (DSM) programs throughout North America, with more than 25 years of experience in the energy utilities industry.
