Cadmus Supports Green Stormwater Infrastructure for Airports on Two New Transportation Research Board Contracts
Waltham, Mass., June 2, 2015—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been awarded two new contracts to support the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP), a program managed by the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academies of Sciences. Under one of these contracts, Cadmus will lead the development of a comprehensive guidebook to help educate airport managers on best practices, implementation strategies, and benefits of green stormwater infrastructure management strategies at their facilities. Under the other new contract, Cadmus staff will assist in compiling and updating the myriad stormwater management resources currently available to airport practitioners, and help develop new resources and training materials to fill the gaps that may remain.
Green stormwater infrastructure management can be a cost-effective, efficient method for managing stormwater runoff at airports in a manner that balances the financial, operational, social, and environmental benefits and impacts of preventing downstream water pollution.
Cadmus works with federal, state, and local government clients and private firms to streamline and increase the efficiency of transportation practices and programs through methods that reduce harmful emissions, save energy, and minimize waste. Learn more.
