Cadmus Honored for Providing Best Employee Transportation Incentives

Consulting Firm Recognized through the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Commuter Connections Program for Second Year

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 23, 2017—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been honored for “Best Employee Transportation Incentives” at the 20th Annual Employer Recognition Awards, hosted by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Commuter Connections program. The ceremony was held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on June 22, 2017.

Cadmus was previously recognized for its transportation incentives by Commuter Connections in 2014.

“At Cadmus, we value our employee-owners very highly,” said Kerri Morehart, Cadmus’ vice president of human resources. “Our staff are committed to improving their communities and minimizing harmful impacts on the natural environment, both in their work and in their personal choices. Providing alternative transportation options is key to our strategy of attracting and retaining top talent—it empowers us to ‘walk the walk’ as we support our clients’ critical missions.”

Cadmus’ sustainable transportation incentives include reimbursement for use of public transportation up to $160 per month for each employee and $100 in annual reimbursement toward the purchase or upkeep of a bicycle or participation in a bike share program. These benefits are available to all Cadmus employees at the firm’s offices across the United States. By taking advantage of the program, participating Cadmus employees in the firm’s Arlington, Va., Bethesda, Md., and Washington, D.C., offices have reduced an estimated 1.2 million vehicle miles traveled and saved more than 61,000 gallons of gasoline annually.

For over 40 years, the Commuter Connections program has worked closely with businesses in the Washington metropolitan area to educate and promote alternatives to drive-alone commuting. Nominations for the Employer Recognition Awards are accepted each year in three categories: Incentives, Marketing, and Telework. Learn more at www.mwcog.org.
