Cadmus Leaders Receive Prestigious Solar Industry Certification
Two Engineers Named NABCEP Certified PV System Inspectors
WASHINGTON, D.C., August 8, 2017—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that two of its engineers, Matt Piantedosi and Chris Houtz, have earned one of the solar industry’s newest and most comprehensive certifications from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP¬Æ) and are now NABCEP Certified PV System Inspectors.
NABCEP is a highly respected and well-established national certification organization for renewable energy professionals. Designation as a NABCEP PV System Inspector is the most advanced certification of its kind in the solar industry.
To earn the NABCEP Inspector credential, Piantedosi and Houtz were required to pass a rigorous examination based on an industry-validated Job Task Analysis. The exam assesses knowledge of applicable codes and ordinances, ability to identify all system components, and understanding of how to assess the safety and operation of a system. The credential also recognizes a commitment to uphold a professional Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct, and obligation to continue professional development through continuing education.
“Cadmus is committed to ensuring our professionals lead the industry in promoting energy efficiency, energy conservation, and the development of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar,” said Terry Fry, Senior Vice President, Cadmus. “Chris and Matt earning this new, highly respected certification adds another level of expertise—and trust—for our clients.”
