Cadmus Adds Award-Winning Architect

The Cadmus Group, Inc., one of the nation’s foremost environmental consulting firms, named architect Victoria Kiechel as an associate in its Arlington, Va., office.

Ms. Kiechel, a Rhodes Scholar, apprenticed with Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, one of the world’s most important contemporary architects. She has earned numerous awards, including The Paris Prize from the National Institute of Architectural Education, the Julia Amory Appleton Fellowship from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and the Chauncey Brewster Tinker Prize from Yale College.

Her designs and commissions include office and commercial space; arts, academic and institutional spaces; and residential architecture, both multi- and single-family. Among her more prominent work is the Davis Museum at Wellesley College, for which she served as a project architect to Mr. Moneo; the Washington, D.C., offices of the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund; the library for Maury Elementary School and a science room and science garden for Horace Mann Elementary School, both in Washington, D.C. She has also designed a number of modernist residences throughout the Washington metro area.

In addition to her work as an architect, Ms. Kiechel has served as an adjunct instructor at Georgetown University, an instructor in architecture and urban design at Catholic University of America, and as an instructor in architecture and life drawing at Harvard University.

“We are pleased to add a person of Victoria’s stature to our staff,” said Edward Miller, Vice President of the Voluntary Programs Group at Cadmus. “She represents a strong addition to our Building Performance Services Practice and will be a key contributor to our growing work in green building and sustainability.”
