Cadmus Announces Recipients of Q4 Employee-Directed Charitable Donations
Waltham, Mass., February 26, 2014—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today the recipients of the company’s employee-directed charitable giving for the firm’s fourth financial quarter.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with the results in this round of decisions by our employee-directed giving committee,” said President and CEO Ian Kline. “It’s been incredibly gratifying to learn more about the important causes our employees support and to have the opportunity to support them, too. I look forward to another year of creating social value through our work with clients, through our community partnerships, and through our charitable giving.”
This quarter’s recipients are:
Breathe New Hampshire: An active volunteer and donor, principal Laurie Potter submitted an application for New Hampshire’s oldest nonprofit health agency, which shares Cadmus’ dedication to public health, specifically to advancing clean air and healthy breathing.
Emerge Global: Research analyst Ann Sojka recommended this organization, which offers lessons in independent life skills for Sri Lankan young women living in the organization’s shelter. Ann is a longtime supporter of Emerge Global.
Homestretch: Principal Damon Fordham requested a donation for this Falls Church, Va.-based organization. Homestretch provides vital support to homeless families, many of whom are fleeing from domestic abuse.
Reading All-Stars: This program, submitted by corporate communications writer and weekly volunteer Jenna Dodenhoff, helps K-5 students in a Title 1 Washington, DC, school build independent reading proficiency through one-on-one support.
Ronald McDonald House Charities: Analyst Maya Alunkal volunteers regularly at her local chapter of this organization, which provides housing and other support to the families of children who are coping with illness.
Street Yoga: This organization offers trauma-informed yoga classes and programs at partner sites in Seattle and Portland. Analyst Mihir Desu, who submitted this application, serves on Street Yoga’s Board of Directors, fundraises, and recently performed 108 sun salutations as a part of a fundraising event!
Applications were strengthened by applicants’ active involvement with the programs and organizations in question, as well as indicated allocation for specific projects, connections to Cadmus’ mission, and, in some cases, a history of support from Cadmus. Every Cadmus employee is welcome to submit a proposal requesting a charitable contribution to a cause or organization.

Cadmus launched the employee-directed charitable giving program in 2006 to provide employees the opportunity to be directly involved in deciding how and where Cadmus provides charitable support. The committee meets quarterly to evaluate applications and allocate donations.
