Cadmus to Complete Multi-Year Codes and Standards Assessment for BC Hydro

Waltham, Mass., Oct. 9, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been awarded the primary contract to provide evaluation services for British Columbia Hydro’s (BC Hydro’s) portfolio of commercial and residential energy-efficiency programs for the next three years. Cadmus will be supported by ICF Marbek, headquartered in Ontario, Canada.

As part of the project work, Cadmus will assess the energy savings of two local government building codes and an appliance standard in British Columbia and the attribution of benefits from codes and standards to BC Hydro’s PowerSmart demand side management (DSM) programs. The work will further bolster Cadmus’ leadership position in the growing arena of codes and standards evaluation; building on recent awards from the California Public Utilities Commission and the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance to conduct similar evaluations. These studies utilize a comprehensive protocol Cadmus has developed for analyzing energy savings, compliance, and attribution to C&S program efforts.

Cadmus’ evaluation approach draws on its extensive experience conducting comprehensive, multisector, multiprogram portfolios of energy-efficiency and demand-response programs, involving impact, process, and market evaluation. Cadmus is the leading firm in conducting C&S studies, completing more evaluations than any other consultancy in North America.
