Cadmus Continues to Support EPA’s National Asthma Forum

(December 11, 2007) — Cadmus has been awarded a contract to support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) National Asthma Forum in 2008, with options for renewal in 2009 and 2010. The contract, awarded under our GSA Environmental Services Schedule, has a potential value of just over $750,000.

The National Asthma Forum is an annual event that sets the standard for improving the effectiveness of community-based asthma management in the United States. The action-oriented conference is designed to empower and inspire attendees to take concrete steps to implement comprehensive asthma management programs that measurably improve health outcomes in their communities.

“The forum brings together key stakeholders in the community that surround the asthma patient—providers, health plans, local health officials, asthma coalitions, advocacy groups, and others—to learn from model asthma programs, discuss the effective and replicable elements in their program strategies, and inspire attendees to make bold commitments to accelerate results in their communities,” says Kate Hastings, the Cadmus principal who heads the company’s support for the forum.

Cadmus has worked closely with EPA to develop this effort beginning with the first National Asthma Forum in 2006. We are very pleased to continue partnering with EPA to develop this robust method for mobilizing community-based environmental health improvement.
