Cadmus Contracted to Conduct UV Disinfection Water Treatment Studies for EPA
Waltham, Mass., April 6, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) has been contracted to support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Research and Development in planning and conducting test bed and demonstration studies for UV disinfection technologies for drinking water treatment. The goal of this project is to generate and provide robust data that will foster confidence in the drinking water scientific, regulatory, and user communities on the viability and sustainability of using UV treatment for Ground Water Rule (GWR), particularly for small and medium-sized drinking water systems.
Drinking water has been one of Cadmus’ core capabilities since its founding in 1983. Cadmus currently provides more support to the EPA’s Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water than any other single contractor, delivering services on diverse contracts encompassing research, regulatory analysis, training, and communications. Cadmus experts work closely with federal and state drinking water programs, with local and regional drinking water systems, and with consumers and other stakeholders.
