Cadmus to Develop and Support Workshop for Water Research Foundation on Partnership Between Drinking Water, Oil and Gas Sectors
Waltham, Mass., March 12, 2014—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the Water Research Foundation to develop and execute a workshop that establishes a dialog between oil and gas companies and drinking water utilities on the links between oil and gas operations and drinking water protection.
Cadmus is supporting the workshop by bringing together representatives from these two groups to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to communicating effectively and efficiently during emergency events, water management challenges, and what water utilities should look for in the wake of such events in order to protect their infrastructures and customers. The workshop will provide an opportunity for both sectors to learn about each other’s operations and challenges and to explore possible areas for further research.
Cadmus’ source water protection and underground injection control experts have led workshops and conducted training sessions for utility, nonprofit organization, and government clients to facilitate information sharing between various stakeholder audiences and increase their understanding of science and technology, community dynamics, and other socioeconomic issues.
