Cadmus Hires First Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Dawn-Marie Gray Joins Cadmus
ARLINGTON, Va., January 25, 2021—Cadmus has hired Dawn-Marie Gray as the firm’s first director of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ms. Gray will work with practice areas and internal teams across Cadmus to advance diversity in the firm and to foster a culture of equity and inclusion in the workplace and across society.
“Championing equity and inclusion within Cadmus, with a team that faithfully strives to reflect the diversity of our society, enables us to create stronger solutions for our clients that improve the quality of all people’s lives in our communities and around the world,” said President and CEO Ian Kline. “Dawn-Marie brings an incredibly valuable set of skills and experiences that will help us expand the important work we have already started in our own organization and will help us determine the future steps we take to do our part to address the inequities in broader society.”
Ms. Gray has nearly two decades of experience providing strategic leadership for organizational change. Before joining Cadmus, she designed inclusive business solutions as the founder of Sunshine Matter, a boutique consultancy focused on guiding clients to become intentional about engaging culturally diverse populations both internally and externally. Her steadfast commitment to reimagining the marketplace and diversifying the workplace has inspired action and generated impact for several global brands, including Reebok International, Volkswagen, YUM! Brands, Colgate-Palmolive, and Timberland, along with nonprofit organizations, such as the American Cancer Society and the American Legacy Foundation. Prior to launching her own agency, she led strategic diversity management for retail pharmacy at CVS Health, where she was responsible for constructing strategic action plans that aligned with workforce representation, talent systems, colleague engagement, and marketplace diversity.
“I immediately connected with the Cadmus mission and purpose,” said Ms. Gray. “Achieving equity is a universally challenging problem that requires steadfast intention to solve. Leadership commitment to this vital work is evident at Cadmus and I am honored by the opportunity to join my new colleagues in redesigning a more inclusive society.”
