Cadmus Principal Fisher Recognized for Outstanding Service to International Association for Impact Assessment

Weston Fisher receives the award for Outstanding Service to IAIA at the 34th IAIA Annual Conference in Viña del Mar, Chile, from IAIA executive director Jill Baker.

Waltham, Mass., April 21, 2014—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that Cadmus principal Weston Fisher has been awarded the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) 2014 Award for Outstanding Service to IAIA. Fisher was presented the award by IAIA executive director Jill Baker at the 34th IAIA Annual Conference in Viña del Mar, Chile.

The award recognizes Fisher’s contributions to IAIA, the leading global network on best practice in the use of impact assessment for informed decision-making regarding policies, programs, plans, and projects.

Fisher recently served as the interim executive director of IAIA, chair of IAIA’s board nominations committee, and co-chair of its climate change section. He was a key organizer of two 2010 IAIA symposia on climate change and impact assessment held in Washington, D.C., and Aalborg, Denmark, bringing together impact assessment and climate professionals from Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia. Invited technical experts and speakers focused on impact assessment for climate adaptation and mitigation.

IAIA has more than 2,000 members around the world. More than 765 delegates attended the 2014 conference.
