Cadmus Provides Expertise to FEMA for 2019 National Preparedness Report

Cadmus is proud to have provided our expertise in emergency management and national doctrine to FEMA for the 2019 National Preparedness Report. Cadmus has supported every NPR since it was first published in 2012.

On December 3, 2019 FEMA officially released the 2019 National Preparedness Report (NPR). The NPR highlights the diverse range of preparedness challenges our Nation faces—from terrorism and active shooter incidents, to cyber-attacks, to natural disasters—as well as how stakeholders across the Nation are using preparedness grant funding to invest in preparedness improvements. The NPR also presents cross-cutting trends from the Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR), which provide insights into preparedness progress and gaps.

The NPR presents an overview of the five preparedness mission areas—Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery—and describes major findings identified through community-wide research and engagement.

In addition, the NPR summarizes the progress made and challenges that remain in building and sustaining the capabilities needed to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats, hazards and incidents that post the greatest risk to the Nation.

Cadmus is excited to have supported FEMA’s efforts throughout all aspects of the process. We continue to support the entire community as they move forward expanding and innovating their emergency management programs to incorporate these changes.
