Waltham, Mass., October 17, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been retained by Mexican sustainable design and construction firm DMX green to provide Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) consulting, energy modeling, and commissioning services on Edificio Metropolitano, a new LEED-seeking project in Guadalajara.
Developer Quantum is seeking LEED for New Construction (NC) certification as part of its commitment to the environmental and business benefits of high performance building practices. The project is a five-story, 21,000-square-foot residential building with retail space on the ground floor. The residential units will be 100 percent naturally ventilated and passively cooled. Completion is expected in fall 2013.
Cadmus provides a full range of energy modeling and commissioning services for new and existing construction projects in the private and public sectors. It has supported LEED-seeking projects throughout North and South America, and is also working with DMX green on a 600,000-square-foot office tower in Guadalajara at this time.
DMX green belongs to the DMX construction group. It is one of the few Mexican firms that are members of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and is a member of the Mexico Green Building Council.
