Cadmus Supports American Water Works Association Water Safety Research

Waltham, Mass., April 16, 2014—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced it has been awarded a contract with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) to prepare guides designed for use by water utility management and staff in support of efforts to build their awareness of cyanotoxins. The guides will also facilitate action by individual water systems at the local level where appropriate.

Exposure to high levels of cyanotoxins, which are produced by some cyanobacteria and may be found in water used for drinking or recreational purposes, can have negative effects on the nervous system, liver, and skin.

Cadmus supports AWWA on a number of research and training initiatives that build water utility managers’ awareness of water-quality issues and better prepare water utilities for supporting their customers’ safety. Learn more about Cadmus’ support for safe drinking water.
