Cadmus to Conduct Energy-Efficiency Potential Assessment for Central Iowa Power Cooperative
Waltham, Mass., May 8, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) has been awarded a contract with the Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) to perform an assessment of energy-efficiency potential and recommend new energy-efficiency programs, including cost-benefit analysis, for CIPCO, its cooperatives, and their member consumers.
Cadmus is nationally recognized for providing energy program planning and design services to the energy industry. Over the past 10 years, Cadmus has conducted more than 25 comprehensive studies of multi-sector, multi-fuel demand side management (DSM) potential to public- and private-sector clients. These services cover a broad spectrum of options such as energy efficiency, demand response, distributed generation, renewable energy, and behavior-based programs enabled by advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
CIPCO is Iowa’s largest cooperative energy provider, serving 13 rural electric cooperatives and associations spanning 58 of Iowa’s 99 counties. CIPCO’s members serve a population of nearly 320,000 rural and urban residents and approximately 12,000 commercial and industrial accounts.
