Cadmus to Perform Oregon Energy Code Compliance Study for NEEA

Waltham, Mass., July 1, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) to conduct a study measuring and reporting on the current rate of energy code compliance in new residential construction in Oregon.

The study will encompass both overall levels of compliance and compliance by major individual elements of the code, such as insulation, windows, and lighting. It will also attempt to measure the code’s impact on energy consumption.

Cadmus has conducted more codes and standards (C&S) studies and evaluations than any other consultancy in the United States. Cadmus staff draw on expertise in disciplines such as engineering, economics, statistics, behavioral analysis, and policy analysis and have decades of experience in development and adoption, technical research, compliance, and evaluation of C&S programs.

NEAA is a nonprofit organization using the market power of the Pacific Northwest region to accelerate the innovation and adoption of energy-efficient products, services and practices. NEEA is supported by, and works in collaboration with, more than 100 Northwest utilities on behalf of more than 12 million energy consumers.
