Cadmus Wins Contract to Continue Work with GSA High Performance Building Program

Waltham, Mass., May 10, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc., has been awarded a new contract to continue supporting U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) programs that improve the performance of its buildings nationwide. Cadmus, along with technology partner SAIC, was awarded a contract for five years, totaling $5 million.

Cadmus will guide performance improvements for 140 properties within the GSA portfolio, leading to lower annual operation costs and improved occupant satisfaction. GSA also expects the properties to achieve compliance with the Guiding Principles for Federal Leadership in High Performance and Sustainable Building as well as USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Volume Certification program.

Cadmus used its proprietary eVOL™ platform to scale high performance practices across GSA’s building portfolio, which reduces effort by more than 50 percent compared to single-building certifications. eVOL organizes and streamlines all necessary data collection, benchmarking, education and training, support documentation, and quality control activities. The tool, which can be customized to meet unique user requirements, includes all required policies, procedures, and support resources on a single, centralized Web-based environment, as well as building-specific compliance-tracking scorecards for both the federal Guiding Principles and LEED.

“Cadmus is thrilled to continue to support GSA on this important program,” said Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline. “This contract offers a great example of our ability to provide a cost-saving, innovative solution to a client’s complex challenge. The eVOL platform enables GSA and other organizations with diverse building portfolios to effectively plan, organize, and track their progress implementing high performance improvements throughout their portfolio, as well as report on the bottom-line impacts in terms of improved performance once the work is done.”
