For Eighth Year in a Row, Cadmus is EPA’s Choice for Healthy Schools Symposium
The Cadmus Group, Inc. will support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Tools for Schools National Symposium in 2008 and 2009 under a new contract with EPA that has a potential value of $1.1 million over three years.
“EPA has awarded this work to Cadmus for the fourth time and we are extremely proud to continue supporting the Symposium.,” says Kate Hastings, a Cadmus principal and leader of the Environmental Health Solutions practice. “We are very pleased to help EPA continue to deliver an effective national program that improves learning environments and promotes the health of our nation’s children.”
The IAQ Tools for Schools Symposium is the premiere national event dedicated to addressing environmental health issues in the nation’s 120,000 public and private schools. This dynamic conference is designed to empower attendees with tools and knowledge and to inspire them with examples of leadership and remarkable results. Afterwards, attendees return to their schools ready to implement environmental health and safety initiatives that will foster safer, healthier schools and enhanced student and staff performance.
“Each year, the Symposium brings together more than 500 stakeholders—including teachers, administrators, facility managers, school nurses, custodians, and public health officials—to learn from model school districts’ environmental management programs, to study replicable strategies for safeguarding school environments, and to inspire school leaders to build, sustain, and improve their facilities so their students and staffs can thrive,” says Ms. Hastings.
