Mehan Honored as Industry Icon by Water and Wastes Digest
Cadmus Principal G. Tracy Mehan III was honored among three dozen other leaders in the 50th Anniversary Special Edition of Water and Wastes Digest, July 2011. The retrospective recognized Mehan and other leaders who have changed the water and wastewater industry through innovation, commitment, and professional accomplishments.
The feature recognized Mehan’s contributions as assistant administrator for water at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he developed new policies and guidance on watershed-based permitting and water quality trading, and directed the Safe Drinking Water Act and Clean Water Act programs. Mehan is also recognized for his continuing commitment to the industry as an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Law at George Mason School of Law, a member of the Water Environment Federation and the Environmental Law Institute, a contributing writer to a variety of professional and general interest publications, and a principal in the Drinking Water and Water Quality Group at Cadmus.
