As Cadmus’ Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, Dawn-Marie Gray partners with practice areas and internal teams across Cadmus to advance diversity and accessibility in the firm and to foster a culture of equity and inclusion in the workplace and across society.
Dawn-Marie has nearly two decades of experience providing strategic leadership for organizational change. Before joining Cadmus, she designed inclusive business solutions as the founder of Sunshine Matter, a boutique consultancy focused on guiding clients to become intentional about engaging culturally diverse populations both internally and externally. Her steadfast commitment to reimagining the marketplace and diversifying the workplace has inspired action and generated impact for several global brands, including Reebok International, Volkswagen, YUM! Brands, Colgate-Palmolive, and Timberland, along with nonprofit organizations, such as the American Cancer Society and the American Legacy Foundation. Prior to launching her own agency, Dawn-Marie led strategic diversity management for retail pharmacy at CVS Health, where she was responsible for constructing strategic action plans that aligned with workforce representation, talent systems, colleague engagement, and marketplace diversity.
Dawn-Marie received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Howard University’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications. She holds an executive certification in digital marketing strategies from the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management and certifications in Foundations of Diversity and Inclusion at Work (UVA Darden School of Business), Marketing Analytics (UVA Darden School of Business), The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing (The Open University), Fundamentals of Affirmative Action Planning (Berkshire Associates Inc.), and Project Management (Bryant University). In 2022, she was named Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Executive of the Year in the private sector category by WashingtonExec.
