Erin Mateo is a water quality and policy expert with more than 25 years of experience supporting drinking water regulation and public health protection. Her expertise includes regulated and emerging contaminant occurrence assessments, data management and quality assurance, and occurrence and exposure analysis to inform regulatory determinations. She has deep knowledge of federal and state drinking water regulations and the research methods and protocols used to develop, evaluate, and revise them. Over the course of her career, Erin has contributed to national occurrence and exposure analyses in support of nearly all current and proposed drinking water regulations, as well as assessments of unregulated contaminants.
Erin currently serves as Program Manager for Cadmus’ major support contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, Standards and Risk Management Division. In this role, she leads support for a broad portfolio of Safe Drinking Water Act rulemaking and program implementation initiatives.
