Katja Silva-Leander is an expert in economic development and sustainable finance and brings more than two decades of experience in financial services and international development. She has overseen the delivery of many large-scale and complex donor programs in these areas, while playing an integral part in securing new business from international donors and development finance institutions, such as the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the World Bank, and the United Nations.

As managing director of Cadmus UK operations, Katja is responsible for the leadership, management, and growth of the business. She oversees the delivery of a portfolio of donor programs covering areas such as climate resilience, digital transformation, economic growth, gender and social inclusion, governance, and monitoring and evaluation.

Prior to joining Cadmus, Katja held key positions at DAI, including head of economic growth, and FCDO, where she was part of the Financial Sector and Investment Climate Teams.

Katja holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University; a master’s degree in business administration and economics from the Stockholm School of Economics; and an undergraduate diploma from the London School of Economics.
