Cadmus Expands Arkansas Efficiency Efforts
The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) continues to expand its work in Arkansas with the Educational Training for Energy Managers initiative. Through this project, valued at $192,800, Cadmus will train the state of Arkansas’ energy managers in 17 knowledge areas and create educational videos for later use. The purpose of this training is to:
- Increase knowledge of basic energy management within the context of energy and water consumption reductions required by the State’s Act 1494 of 2009 and the Governor’s Executive Order 09-07; and
- Expand an understanding of energy technology, economics, and outreach to enhance the power of the energy manager position in achieving these goals.
This work builds upon Cadmus’s existing efforts in Arkansas on the Utility Baseline for State Agencies project. Similar to the Educational Training efforts, the Utility Baseline project allows Cadmus and Arkansas Energy Office (AEO) to help State agencies comply with Act 1494. The Utility Baseline project objectives include:
- Establishing accounts in EPA’s ENERGY STAR® measurement and tracking tool Portfolio Manager (PM), verifying account data in PM, and reviewing rate tariffs; and
- Training agencies on PM and providing technical support for the duration of the contract.
The Utility Baseline contract, which will generate $1,040,196.92 in revenue, includes up to 6,000 utility accounts for which facility information and energy and water account data must be gathered and analyzed. In addition, up to 44 agencies will be trained on the use of Portfolio Manager.
