Cadmus Honored with PRSA Bronze Anvil Award for ENERGY STAR® Public Service Announcements
Cadmus and Crosby Marketing Share Top Award From Public Relations Society of America
The Cadmus Group, Inc., today announced it received the 2012 Bronze Anvil, awarded by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), for excellence in Print Public Service Announcements (PSAs). Cadmus received the award in conjunction with its partner, Crosby Marketing (http://crosbymarketing.com/), for their work in developing print PSAs for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR® program.
Cadmus and Crosby produced four PSAs for ENERGY STAR® (http://crosbymarketing.com/projects/sometimes-changing-the-world-takes-real-super-heroes/):
- One showcasing youth saving energy through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
- Two honoring University of North Carolina students and college management winning the first-ever National Building Competition.
- And one recognizing the ENERGY STAR® Partners of the Year for leading the way in saving energy in their communities.
This campaign is the most successful ENERGY STAR® print PSA campaign to date in terms of ad equivalency. As of August 2012, there have been more than 60 confirmed placements totaling more than 52 million in circulation and more than $4.3 million in ad equivalency.
PRSA (http://www.prsa.org/) is the world’s largest and foremost organization of public relations professionals. For more than 40 years, it has awarded Bronze Anvils for the “best of the best” in public relations tactics — the individual items or components that contribute to the success of an overall program or campaign. Of the 56 Bronze Anvils awarded this year (http://www.prsa.org/Awards/BronzeAnvil/BronzeAnvilResults/PreviousResults/2012%20Bronze%20Anvil%20Results.pdf) Cadmus and Crosby received the only award for print PSAs.
