Cadmus Wins Follow-on Program Evaluation Project with the Ontario Power Authority

The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) will continue its evaluation of initiatives by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) to reduce peak summer demand and energy consumption by multi-family structures under a recently awarded contract. The OPA offers participants in its Multifamily Buildings Program financial incentives to support energy efficiency retrofit projects. We have completed the 2008 program year evaluation for the OPA, and this effort is a continuation and an expansion of that work.

Our evaluation of the program for the 2009 and 2010 program years will comprise on-site audits and evaluations of OPA’s marketing efforts, residential education effort, and processes for implementing the program. We also will assess the green jobs directly generated by the program, and we will complete our analysis of the program’s cost effectiveness. For this procurement Cadmus teamed with Marbek, one of Canada’s leading energy and environmental consulting firms, which will handle the site visits.

The OPA operates its Multifamily Buildings Program program through several implementation contractors (the City of Toronto, Green$aver, and several local distribution companies through the OPA Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program.)
