A comprehensive set of strategies for government, utilities, and other stakeholders to accelerate EV deployment in the ridehail sector

Did you know that ridehail drivers are making the switch to EVs faster than the general population? Ridehail is a natural fit for electrification by offering a significant operational savings to high-mileage drivers. However, there are still barriers to widespread adoption of EVs by drivers due to vehicle cost, vehicle availability, and access to charging.

Uber partnered with Cadmus to help assess the ridehail market in three regions—U.S. and Canada, India, and Brazil—and develop a comprehensive set of actions that catalyze further EV adoption in this critical sector. In each region, we convened an expert roundtable with representatives across sectors including government, utilities, transportation network companies (TNCs), automakers, researchers, and NGOs to discuss how to shift ridehail to a zero-emissions future.
