Amanda Witt

Principal

An expert in comprehensive emergency management, policy development, and operational planning, Amanda has 20 years of experience in developing and implementing complex strategies, as well as applying project management approaches to large-scale federal and private sector projects.

Amanda is an accomplished disaster operations response planner who possesses a thorough understanding of emergency preparedness programs and principles. She has worked with homeland security and emergency management officials at all levels of government to improve operational readiness and collaboration across organizational boundaries.

Among her many accomplishments, Amanda has helped create federal interagency plans spanning all hazards and established effective planning methodologies for the Whole Community. She helped author the Federal Continuity Directive 1 and designed multiple federal interagency plans, including the Response Federal Interagency Operational Plan.

A Certified Emergency Manager and Certified Business Continuity Planner, Amanda has an MBA from Strayer University and the University of Virginia and holds a bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She is active in the International Association of Emergency Managers.
