Cadmus assisted in development and implementation of grant program supporting Massachusetts’ efforts to expand energy storage

The Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) recently announced more than $40 million in awards through its Advancing Massachusetts Power (AMP) program, funding 36 projects that will help keep critical facilities powered during outages, support energy storage safety and workforce training, and advance innovative long-duration energy storage technologies across the Commonwealth.

Cadmus supported DOER in the design and implementation of the AMP program. Since early 2025, Cadmus has provided program administration support, helping DOER develop the program framework and eligibility criteria, engage stakeholders, and incorporate feedback to shape the program’s structure. The Cadmus team also assisted in developing the application and project selection process and continues to support program implementation as awarded projects move forward.

As Massachusetts expands energy storage deployment to enhance grid resilience and prepare communities for future energy challenges, Cadmus remains committed to helping DOER successfully deliver the AMP program and support grantees throughout the life of their projects.
